Here are a couple of images from a recent commercial yoga photography shoot I undertook for a yoga studio in Sydney.
I decided to shoot outdoors rather than in the studio as this allowed me to find a more interesting setting for the shots. Yoga studios are somewhat limited in terms of background!
As it’s now winter in Sydney it was quite cold for the model, making it challenging to get into the postures fully. I was shooting for just a few minutes at a time and taking frequent breaks for the model to warm up again. However, the dramatic winter skies helped create a great atmosphere for the photos which I could not have achieved on a clear bright summer day.
